I am trying to reinstall XP professional on my laptop. However, the booting up from the cd never completes. I have tried many different cds, XP home too. It goes to the stage where it says "Setup is checking your hardware configuration..." and then everything goes blank. I have had a dual boot system; and i have tried installing various versions of linux. They all go through. Even a Vista intstall goes through. I am at my wits end as to why this is happening and how should i fix it. Help is urgently needed and will be greatly appreciated. |
