I just installed Windows Vista Beta 2 ultimate onto my computer, but am having probloms with Aero effects. It has a 3.6 Ghz HT P4, 3 GB of ram, and a NVIDIA GeForce 6800 GPU with 256 MB of graphics ram. I have looked at some other posts and specs and it apears that this should be ample for using Aero effects, but when they are running the graphics are choppy and the computer is unresponsive. A program dmw.exe constantly uses 50% of my cpu until Aero is dissabled by me or Vista when it detects too much system load. Everything is fine after it is dissabled. I had this problem after a fresh install of Vista, and after upgrading to driver version 8.8.6.1 which was the latetest Vista Beta 2 driver on the Nvidia website. I saw in a post on another site that someone else had similar problems that they resolved, but they did not post how. I am runing Windows Vista Beta 2 Ultimate Build 5384. Has anyone else had this problom or know how to resolve it? -WBuik |
