If Linux can tease us with flashy animations and only use 128mb of RAM, I
think we can too.
Think about it. 512MB of RAM and 64mb Of VRAM to display Aero? It's a bit of
wasteful resources.
Too much polish slows down the average consumer, and when they are buying
the bottom of the line Dell - it's not going to be pretty.

My computer, a AMD Sempron 3000 OC'd to 2.26ghz, 512MB of DDR RAM and a AGP
Nvidia GeForce 6600 256MB DDR2 400mhz would run Windows Vista at super slow!
Why, why, why should a computer that is considered to be next to top of the
line today be trash next year, rather then in five years?

So, please Microsoft: think of the idiots out there! To sell your product,
you need custom stuff and the lowest possible RAM and processor uses. Look at
Windows 2000. I like Windows 2000, because it's NT and it's efficent. It's
possible.
