I was placing my Contacts into categories when my WLM 9 crashed and since I have been having a host of problems with my Windows Live account: 1. Unable to login using WLM 9 beta, saying "service is temporarily unavailable" etc..... (error 81000451) 2. I can login using WLM v8.5 as before but when chatting with my contacts, my name is not the same as what is being shown on my Messenger (already tried changing to a different name on Window Live Messenger, no difference) - the displayed name in the chat screens is mine, but cannot find where the name is being stored in my Profile. 3. I synchronize my Messenger's Contacts list to the Contacts of multiple Windows Mobile devices, and since error 81000451 I have not been able to synchronize to any of my devices (all say "Synchronization failed") Just what is this 81000451 error anyway? I cannot find any information about this error code. Judging from the errors and symptoms I have been experiencing, I now suspect it is related to some kind of corruption of my Windows Live ID account database caused when my WLM9 crashed. Is Microsoft investigating this error? I see several people are also experiencing 81000451 login problem and no one seems to know a fix or if Microsoft is aware of the problem! PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP! THANKS! |

same here, downloaded the wave3 this morning, and i played with that group thing(damn it) created a group, just to see what it is, and later i deleted, after i sign out to check something, poor i couldnt check coz later i couldnt sign in, that damn 81000451 error code...i tried anything, i did what microsoft says on the error webpage i unistalled and re*installed it even i installed wlm 8.5 and later i installed wave3 no it didnt work... i hope live team will find something to solve this... if any of you find solution, we'll expecting you to share with us..thanks -- mertcan |

FIX IT!!! many thanks! I delete whatever is this folder and now it's working fine (so far) but let's realise this messenger 9 it's still on beta. %localappdata%\Microsoft\Windows Live Contacts -- memoeschido |
