How can I find the MAC address of my wireless card in Vista? I want to
limit access to my wireless router by MAC address.

Thanks

Open a command prompt and type ipconfig /all and press Enter. The MAC
address will show there as the "physical address" of the wireless adapter.

If you do not have Administraive access to the router use the ""arp" command
(research command options)..

I should explain more fully - ping the router (usually 192.168.1.1) then at
the command prompt type arp -a.

Richard and Joe are referring to the MAC of the adapter card - not the
router.

The MAC address is printed on a label on the wireless card itself, or you
can go to the Command Prompt and enter IPconfig /all that will show you the
MAC of the wireless card used by the computer.

If you want to know the MAC address of the router, then it's on physical
label on the outside of the router somewhere in the area of the serial
number that's on a label.
