Suddenly I find I don't have a kept email slot all of the rest are there . I haven't to my knowledge altered any thing how do I get it back there are some important messages in there . Please be gentle when answering as I am not very technically minded. Thanks for any help. Tony |

The program itself does not make a folder called "kept". I encourage my customers to make a folder, called "save", maybe you = called it "kept", to store mail they read but do not want to delete. Unfortunately this folder, being custom made, can also be deleted if you = are not careful. Have you looked in the Deleted Items folder? If you deleted the "kept" folder, and emptied the Deleted Items folder, = most likely you have lost those messages. One has to be careful when deleting messages in a custom folder. You may think your have highlighted just the message, when in fact you = highlighted the folder. Then the delete command deletes the entire folder. Windows Mail will not let you delete the default folders (Inbox, outbox, = drafts, etc.) but it will let you delete the folders you make. |
