Hi, i am troubleshooting why many of our network users have random disconnections of Windows Live Messenger. All the users are on public ip addresses and we do not have a firewall but access control list which do not block msn/windows live messenger. Also there is nothing in our internet engine's log that suggest blocking on the users' internet at the time of disconnections. The other msn chat clients including Digsby and Adium seem to get the disconnections too. As a test, we had one of our users to downgrade from Windows Live Messenger to MSN Messenger 5.1 and he has not had any disconnection. This disconnection issue started sometime in mid-july 2008. Is this a known issue/bug in the messenger client/server or windows update? Thanks for any suggestions and all help. Cheers, Paul |

Does this still occur after upgrading to the latest beta version of WL Messenger client? http://download.live.com/messenger - Jeroen "hiimen" <hiimen@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:DB5380CC-39BA-4F0F-9950-058BC3A3D268@microsoft.com... > Hi, > i am troubleshooting why many of our network users have random > disconnections of Windows Live Messenger.
