The file menu bar displays below the address bar. There doesn't appear to be a way to move it above the address bar. The file menu bar should always be immediately below the title bar, above all other UI elements. There's no way to move the command bar to the left of the favorites bar. Having the Command bar to the right of the favorites bar and locking the tool bars causes the rightmost item on the favorites bar to disappear and the expansion icon to appear. There seems to be no way to prevent this. ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes. Hi John, Customizing the Favorites center button, Favorites bar and Command Bar. (copied from a post in the IE8 beta NG) No you can't drag it to the same line as your other third-party toolbars or the Menu bar. You can drag and move the Favorites Center button, the Command bar and the Favorites bar to the Tabs line or above the Tabs line. Ensure you have View>Toolbars>Lock Toolbars unchecked. Grab the 'Gripper' ('|') and move any of the above toolbars to a new position on the Tabs bar (you will see the area where you can drag them to outlined with a thin border, including the tabs line and below your Menu bar and/or third-party toolbars). Ensuring you have Lock Toolbars unchecked move your mouse over the IE toolbar. You will find that there are other elements of the toolbar that you can customize (the mouse cursor will change to a N/W cursor when you pass over a customizable element.)
