No. Internet Explorer cannot be uninstalled from Vista. You can disallow
access to IE from Control panel> Default Programs> Set program access and
computer defaults.

What really bugs me is I can't remove the engine in my Ford and replace
it with a Porsche engine. Talk about unfair competition.

Well you probably could as long as you realise you need to do a lot of
bending, cutting, welding and fabrication of one-off custom parts.... :-)

This also means that vista is not a car, but only an engine =)
It works, but the car does not go =)

besides, it is as well stupid to claim that an internet browser is the
engine of an os.
which suggests that if you have a browser programmed, then you almost have
the os, which sounds at least stupid.
