Every time I get updates, it tries to install this update and fails. However, according to "installed updates" in is *already* installed. See http://www.mewnlite.com/KB938371.jpg There's quite a bit in Google about it but so far nothing that has helped. I got Service Pack 1 to install on the second attempt. I'm getting tired of seeing that "failure" all the time. Anyone here have an idea how to fix this? Thanks -- --- Long live Fat32! --- |

I downloaded both files. I had already run the self installing KB938371 file and it hadn't worked so I ran the reset tool, rebooted, and then ran the patch again. It still didn't work.... "Failed to install" Everything seems to be working OK. I'm just trying to get rid of that pesky error all the time. -- --- Long live Fat32! --- |

Go to Control Panel/Programs and Features, in tasks pane choose view installed updates and delete it there and then try to reinstall, or simply click hide it in pending updates window. When I highlight that particular update, the "uninstall" option goes away. I did get it hidden though. Thanks.
