I am trying to use system restore to send my HP laptop back to the condition it was around two months ago. I think there is some sort of virus because I am having problems with the internet-- constant pop-ups and running very slow. When I go to choose a restore point there is only listed points as old as yesterday. I never made any manually; however, all the boxes are checked under system protection. Is there a way to get older restore points? |

If you have a Virus\Malware\Trojan then even by going back as far as you = can with restore points it will not solve your issue. Is there some sort of error that is shown either on the screen or in = the Event Viewer ? What happens if you disable all of your Add Ons in IE --=20 Peter Please Reply to Newsgroup for the benefit of others Requests for assistance by email can not and will not be acknowledged.
