Here's a link so that you can see what kind of problem I'm having. I've tried everything that I can think of to fix it, but the only thing that has worked was to create a new Windows User Account, and in it, everything looks fine. If I have to, I guess I'll migrate to the new user account, but I would rather fix the problem so that I won't have to. Here's the link: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3170/2701487670_3c695ce505_o.jpg Thanks! |

What is "everything that you can think of?" I'd hate to venture into areas already visited. Your problem is a font display problem obviously. What have you done? Well I've turned off True Type fonts, I've turned off any smoothing, I've played with all of my display properties, I've tried running Windows in different modes other than Aero, I've checked for viruses & worms by running Kaspersky virus checker, I've run Windows Defender to look for any malware, I've run a Registry Cleaner, and probably a few other things that I can't remember and the problem still persists. OK... I guess I'm missing what the problem is? your screen image looks clear to me. Silly me, the screen grab that I posted doesn't show the problem because you weren't viewing it with my computer, I guess there isn't a way to show an example of my problem unless you were looking over my shoulder at my screen. Frustrating!! I suppose that I could take a picture of my screen and post that! :) "KDE" <knott_me@NOSPAM.hotmail.com> wrote in message news:%23H7JKqn7IHA.2060@TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl... > OK... That's how I got the image that I posted, except that I used Photoshop instead of paint. The problem is, when someone views the image from another computer, the text looks fine, it's my computer that has the problem. > Hit "Print Scrn" > > Click the start orb > > Type PAINT into start-search > > Edit - Paste > > >> >>"KDE" <knott_me@NOSPAM.hotmail.com> wrote in message >>news:%23H7JKqn7IHA.2060@TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl... >>> OK... OK, if the screen capture looks clear on other computers, then the problem is not in how windows is rendering the text, but in how your display is displaying it. definitely software related. now you just have to figure out the differences between your two profiles. I would log into the good profile, go into device manger and see what the display adapter is listed as, what the driver version number is, etc... then compare to the bad profile. also, look for 3rd party software that may be loading in the bad profile but not in the good one. I assume this is more than just IE related ? Thanks KDE, I'll do what you suggest but I think it's going to be a real challenge trying to find what software might be causing the problem. I'm hoping that it's just the display driver. And yes, it's everything, not just IE. If it's happening in one user account and not another, it sounds like an ICC profile issue to me, although that is a guess, as you have not described what the problem is (in words). ss. |

Thanks to everyone who has helped me! I'm using the new profile that I created and transferred all of my settings to it from my old profile and everything looks good, I just hope it stays this way!
