On the network, I can see the printer and it says Ready. When I remotely try to print, nothing happens. Not even an error message. The only clue is that the printer status reads "error". I can hardwire the laptop (which is using Vista Home Premium) to the network (an XP-based system) printer, and can print just fine. Any suggestions? Bonnie |

How many PCs in the network? To what exactly is the printer connected? -- Cari (MS-MVP) Printing & Imaging www.coribright.com/windows "Bonnie" <Bonnie@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:E575707C-B33C-4F7F-89FD-495889FD88AD@microsoft.com... > On the network, I can see the printer and it says Ready.
