I have Vista Ultimate and am set up as Administrator. The Windows Fax & Scan settings for General and Security are literally - all - greyed out. I can't select a modem, specify send/receive options or change anything else. The only two changes I made prior to this problem were: (1) check the Exceptions box for Windows Fax & Scan in the Windows Firewall (2) under the Security tab, to allow Permissions for Everyone. Prior to making this change, I could send faxes but not receive them (another issue). When I go to Advanced Security Settings, it says the owner is "Network Service," (not my administrator name btw) and it won't let me change the owner either. Any thoughts on how to fix this?
