I just bought a laptop with vista home on it. I am having a odd printer
problem.

I have 2 networked printers: a Brother MFC-240CN printer and a HP Laserjet
5m. If the printers are turned on before the computer, then Vista see the
printers and show thier status as online.

However if the printer I wish to print to is turned on AFTER Visa loads,
then the printer status shows as OFFLINE and I cannot figgure out how to make
Vista see that the printer is now actually ONLINE.

I am not expieriencing this issue on my XP, Linux, or HP-UX computers so it
is not a network issue.

the local printer name, insert your names as appropriate. You CANNOT
use spaces in the naming convention if you want it to work this way.

Thanx, I'll rename without spaces.

I had to use the share name.
