Hi everyone, I have encountered the following issue with the integration between MS Project 2003 (MSP) SP3 and TFS 2008 in an existing r&d and production TFS environment: 1. Connect MSP to an existing Team Project 2. Create a new task in the MSP project plan 3. Set the Work Item Type for the new task (any WIT value is fine) 4. Click or tab out of the task row in MSP 5. When I do that, the value in the Work Item Type field blanks out! This issue is occurring on multiple client workstations where Team Explorer 2008 and MSP 2003 SP3 are installed. On one of the workstations, I tried 'repairing' the VSTO installation, but it did not resolve the issue. The .NET Framework is installed and at the right levels. I installed MSP 2003 SP3 on the publicly-available VSTS08RTM-V7 Virtual Machine and was *unable* to reproduce this issue. There is one workaround that I should note: ___ If you get a set of work items from TFS and into MS Project, then copy one of the tasks and paste it, then the new pasted task will retain the Work Item Type value selected in the pulldown. You can also change the Work Item Type without issue. ___ I'm not seeing this in other TFS environments where I'm working (TFS 2005 or 2008). Has anyone ever seen this before? I'm just wondering if there's something obvious out there I need to know in order to resolve this annoying little problem ... ? Thanks in advance for any help! Dan |
