On one machine, I've mapped a network drive to a share on a remote
machine: "\\192.168.220.129\some\dir". For that network drive, I've
enabled the option "Offline Files". Now, the problem is that the IP of
the remote machine changed to 192.168.220.129. Thus, I'm not able to
sync the files back to the remote machine. Any idea how to proceed?

Hi Felix,

the both provided IP addresses are the same!?
If this is just a mistake and they have different IP`s, I would say you may
have DHCP enabeled?

regards

Ah, sorry that was a mistake. The IPs are different, of course.

No, DHCP is not enabled. The IP has been changed by hand.

Hi Felix,

I would say, you need to reconfigure the static IP adresses to the known one
and may disconnect and reconnect the network drive or you use the new IP
adress, disconnect the old linked drive and add the new one. Then you should
be able to sync again.
How did the static IP change?

Hm, not feasible. I guess, I have to sync things "by hand", copying
around files - sigh.

Look in my earlier post.
