Why do you think it is your AV causing this (and you didn't say what AV
program you are using)??

Next time it happens, write down the large number that it shows,
something that will start with (0,0000000A) etc etc. Put them in a note
here, as it is those numbers that will point you to the cause of the
problem. As it is a Dell, if you download the latest Dell Assistant
software, that may also point you to a cause and solution.

Your system tells you it's your antivirus software. If you don't want
to uninstall it - not disable it - as has been recommended, then you
should learn to live with the blue screens.

I'm sorry to hear that you wasted your money on McAfee, but like Rick,
I too recommend that you uninstall it. There are lots of other
choices, many of them freeware, that are better.

I recommend

1. The Windows firewall,

2. Avast! Antivirus

3. All of the following antispyware programs:

Spyware Blaster
Spybot Search and Destroy
Adaware
Super-AntiSpyware

All of the above are free, and better than what McAfee provides.

When the Blue screen is up in front of your eyes, do what I ask and
write down the long stings of numbers and letters and report back here
with those. Then we can help
