OS = Windows Vista Home Premium

Control Panel - Device Manager - Other Devices - Unknown Device!

I know this unknown device refers to a Creative Game Port.
I know there is a fix/patch for it, I used it on my Vista Ultimate
installation.
I think it was an .ini file - cdgame? ctgame?
What I don't know is where I got the file to fix the situation.
If I remember right, the file was listed on a site along with the
instruction.

Any help appreciated - TIA

I would imagine that missing drivers for a *Creative* Game Port would come
from the source - Creative. So check on their website for your specific
sound card drivers.

Thanks Malke,

I have searched their site and found nothing.
I have the latest driver installed, but this is a separate issue.
I'll keep looking;-)

Kue2,

Thank You, that is what I was looking for. That is the same file I used on
the Vista Ultimate drive to fix the issue, ctgame2k.inf. I ran the process
on the Home Premium Drive and it found the driver software file but did not
complete the installation - ''A service installation in this .inf is
invalid."

I have no idea what that means, so now I have something else to research:-)
I'll d/l another file and see what happens. If it worked in Ultimate, I
think it should work in Home Premium, same machine.
Thanks again for your help.
