Up until about 2 months ago, everytime I got an email a little box would pop
up in my system tray (associated with live messenger) and tell me I had
received new email.
Then out of the blue, it stopped, no more notifications.
I didn't change anything at least I'm not aware of changing anything.
Anyone have any ideas on this?
I'm running XP with SP2.
Thanks.

When you open WLM and click the hotmail tab on Windows live today, does it
say mail is currently unavalible through this service? That may be the
problem.

Greetings Ruth,

The mail notifications are done server-side and simply sends your Messenger client a simple
message when there's new mail. As such, when it breaks, there really isn't much you can do
about it.

In reply to Smithsonian, no it doesn't say that, it says my Inbox is empty
because I just checked in thru Outlook Express and it is empty.
I'm stumped!!!
