Across the top of the LIve Messenger screen, where there are usually several
clickable buttons, several are missing. I just have the first two, open
your email box, and view your sharing folders. I have uninstalled and
reinstalled with no joy.

Thanks,

Don L.

Mine disappeared some days ago, with only the mail let, but now shared
folders, spaces and Live Today.

I just use the mail, so didn't worry.
However, I'd say the existence of that icons depend on external sources, so
I guess there's nothing you can do about it, just hope they'll be back one
day!

Greetings,

When you sign into Messenger, it connects to a web configuration service which determines
what services and features are available to you.
If it can't connect to this service, then a good number of the icons won't show up and their
features will be missing.

If it just started by itself, it could just be a temporary problem on Microsoft's side, but
if it's been persisting for awhile it's more likely due to a software firewall blocking the
connection to the web service, in which case you'll need to go in and configure it to give
Messenger the necessary permission.
