....when I sign out and back in again. when I try to change my avatar, it changes ok, but when I sign out and sign in again, it changes back to what it was before. I have checked the settings under options and I have it set to allow others to view my picture, and have unticked the box under security stating whether it's a shared computer or not. I have also checked/unchecked the "use the same display picture..." option under general preferences too, but to no avail I am using Windows Messenger V8.5. and windows XP SP3, though the issue had been happening ever since I installed Windows Live Messenger. this problem is annoying me as I want to change my display picture, and am fed up of doing so every time I sign in |

Hi Surebrec, Which version of Windows XP are you running with Windows XP SP3? Home Edition? Professional Edition? Media Edition? -- thecreator "Surebrec" <Surebrec@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:848679C1-7AC0-4497-9151-C3EA15D888C8@microsoft.com... > ...when I sign out and back in again. > > when I try to change my avatar, it changes ok, but when I sign out and > sign > in again, it changes back to what it was before. > > I have checked the settings under options and I have it set to allow > others > to view my picture, and have unticked the box under security stating > whether > it's a shared computer or not.
