Last week I purchased windows vista ultimate upgrading my current system from windows vista home premium. After installation my hard drive stayed the same size and all my files were in the windows.old file. I could understandably move all my files and documents but my programs and files are no longer installed on my computer. Some of my programs will not operate anymore and I need help moving my programs and files permanently without having to reinstall every program. -- Those who have never almost died have never lived. I'm sorry but you will need to reinstall the programs. It's the only way to get the correct references into the registry. Malke -- MS-MVP Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic! Malke is right. If you had programs that needed to be activated they wouldnt be activated anymore. You may be able to copy to files from some programs. Theres a chance it might not work. Some files may be in other directories. You can try but none of can say they will work.
