Vista doesn't have such feature. Use third-party disk manager to merge them. Yes it does. Disk Management has the tools. "bluefin" <desertcamel.chen@gmail.com> wrote in message news:01843f08-4859-4eaf-abb3-c7487fb7bd51@z24g2000prf.googlegroups.com... Hi Jim, Copy any data on D: & E: to C:. It's also wise to backup critical data on all volumes before manipulating partitions on any system. Click start, type diskmgmt.msc and hit <enter> to open disk manager. Delete/remove the D: and E: volumes, then right click on C: and expand it to encompass the free space that was created. *Important* Note that the free space must be immediately after C: as shown in disk manager. If it is not (it's in front or there is some other volume separating them), then you will need to resort to a third-party program to slide/move the volumes around so that they are before you can complete the task. The disk manager included with Windows is not capable of doing this. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org My thoughts http://rick-mvp.blogspot.com "Jim" <helieco@bellsouth.net> wrote in message news:437B9587-183A-4937-8929-E62F80B17957@microsoft.com... > After installing the complete Vista OS I ended up with Drive C where the > program is installed and additional Drives D & E - how can I combine D & E > into C Drive? > > Jim |
