I haven't found a way to print a Live Messenger conversation directly from Messenger. I have to save to a file and then print the file from Word. My wife is computer impaired, so trying to get her to save to, say, the desktop, then finding a program (Word, etc.) and loading the file to print is a divorce-promoter! I can't believe there's no way to print directly from LM, so any help appreciated. My ver. is 2008 (Build 8.5.1302.1018) |

Unfortunately there isn't a way to print directly from a message window however there is an easy way to print your conversations. Messenger allows you to "record" your conversations. Go to tools/options and click on the "Message" option. In there you should see a couple of settings for "Message History" This allows you to store your messages to disk automatically and also allows you to choose where you want to store them (from what you are saying storing them on the desktop might be the best place). This automatically creates an xml file of your conversations. Simply double click this file and it will open in IE and you can print from there. Hope this helps. Hi, Just to add, you can print straight from the message history window just by clicking inside it and pressing Ctrl-P on the keyboard. You don't have to open it manually and do it in IE. Note: Message history window is not the conversation window, it's viewing the history by right-clicking on the contact and choosing the option from the view menu. -- Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Live Messenger MSN Messenger/Windows Messenger MessengerGeek Blog: http://www.messengergeek.com Messenger Resources: http://messenger.jonathankay.com (c) 2008 Jonathan Kay - If redistributing, you must include this signature or citation -- "Colin Brown WLMVP" <Hackersoft1@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:423E71C3-106C-44F4-A06D-F76D54A119FC@microsoft.com... > Unfortunately there isn't a way to print directly from a message window however there is an > easy way to print your conversations. > Messenger allows you to "record" your conversations.
