Hi there, I never encountered this problem until this morning, when WLM failed to launch when I double clicked the shortcut. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling, and I've even uninstalled messenger plus live but the result is the same. Although it doesn't launch, msnmsgr.exe appears in the windows task manager. After clicking on the shortcut several times, there would be multiple copies of the msnmsgr.exe in the task manager. When I try to shut down, I would have to end each of those msnmsgr.exe's individually as they're all unresponsive. I'm curious as to how I can fix this problem. Thanks in advance, |

Greetings, What you're describing is typically caused by a router actually. Assuming this is the case, reset the router (aka unplug and plug back in) and if that doesn't resolve it, try seeing if there's a firmware update for the router at the router manufacturers website. -- Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Live Messenger MSN Messenger/Windows Messenger MessengerGeek Blog: http://www.messengergeek.com Messenger Resources: http://messenger.jonathankay.com (c) 2008 Jonathan Kay - If redistributing, you must include this signature or citation -- "Xedger" <Xedger@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:10B76350-0221-4216-B0B0-F35327F98A0B@microsoft.com... > Hi there, > > I never encountered this problem until this morning, when WLM failed to > launch when I double clicked the shortcut.
