Help, I just bought a new HP computer with Vista. I am running Money 2005 and I'm not able to import the files from my old computer (windows XP) to the new computer. The errors say the import file is write protected and then try to do a restore...I did that as well...no luck. I don't know what to do to get these files moved over. Please help...with detailed directions....not a computer person here. thanks -- Diana |

If you used a CD or DVD to transfer the file then it may well be write protected. Copy it to your new PC, find it in Explorer then right click on it, select properties, make sure 'Read Only' is unchecked and press OK then see whether Money is OK with it. -- Jeff Gaines Damerham Hampshire UK |
