I have Speech Recognition configured to start up automatically when I log in. But I have noticed that when the Speech Recognition program is starting (it will say "Starting Speech Recognition"), the rest of the system will not respond to mouse clicks for anywhere between 10-30 seconds. Finally when the Speech Recognition program has started (it will say "Sleeping"), the system goes back to normal. And then sometimes when I close the Speech Recognition program, the system might stop responding to mouse clicks for 10 seconds or so. I usually don't see these problems if I launch and close Speech Recognition a second time after I've logged in. It seems to be the first time that Speech Recognition launches after I log in that I see the problem. Anyone else notice this? |
