i started my laptop this morning and nothing appeared on my desktop. i do
not see anything, it is just pink. it had an error message on the screen,
mswinsck.ocx, that it is missing a file or is invalid. . i tried to do a
system restore and it says error 0x80070005. i can still bring up the task
manager and open things up with that, but i would like to have it normal.
yesterday i got rid of some programs i dont use anymore, or that were not
working properly, like itunes.

The error code "0x80070005"...means that we are having some permission
issues..Make sure that we are logged in by an admin account...

There might some NTFS permissions causing the problem..run the command
below from command prompt to reset the permissions to default.

secedit /configure /cfg %windir%\inf\defltbase.inf /db defltbase.sdb
/verbose

After running the command try shooting the restore...:)
