Is there anyone out there syncing a smartphone (i.e. blackberry) with their tablet pc software for calendar, etc.? If so, which one? Is there anything special you have to do to get it to work? When I first purchased my tablet ( Toshiba Portege with Microsoft Tablet PC software, Nov.2007) my palm pilot would not sync and I was told that there were no smartphones that would sync with the tablet software. Thanks for your help. Anne |

>> I have a Toshiba Portege, with Windows XP Tablet Edition << afaik, Activesync (windows mobile) has no tablet specific problems. There are a huge number of windows mobile phone devices out there, essentially divided between the pocketpc phones (they use a stylus for screen input) and windows mobile smartphones which use keypad input only. While I am not a great fan of activesync in general, I have used it to sync a number of different windows mobile devices over the years. Beverly Howard [MS MVP-Mobile Devices] |

What they told you, is not true. Simple as that. They don't know the tablet PC OS too good, so they're not supporting it - therefore they say it's not comaptible to be on the safe side. However, the error messages must have been specific to your problem and tablet PC OS installation. I am successfully syncing Treo 650 with Tablet PC edition of windows XP. -- /\ /\ [ Jakub 'Kocureq' Anderwald ] /\ /\ =^;^= [ [nick][at][nick].com ] =^;^= / | [ GG# 1365999 ICQ# 31547220 ] | \ (___(|_|_| [ kocureq@jabber.org ] |_|_|)___) |

And for starting the synch I always have to start WMDC manually. Got used to that meanwhile so that I forgot that when writing my last posting :-( :-( Rainald |
