I have a web site which includes a page for users to select to listen to recordings. I regularly test that the links still work but notice that on my new PC (Vista and IE7) the option to select an mp3 track refuses to work and I get the 'Unable to display webpage' message. Real Media ones work perfectly. Originally on my other PC it would simply download the song and then play it in Windows Media Player. What puzzles me more is that the tracks download and play perfectly on my son's computer, so I don't think the problem is my website. I have Windows Media Player 11. Feel sure it is a simple setting which I need to change but have tried all I can think of. Grateful for any thoughts. |

What happens if you copy that link and then try to open it manually in WMP? (e.g. use its Ctrl-u dialog). Please provide a sample publicly accessible link if you need more help.
