Hi, I'm running valid XP on several different computers and at the moment I'm testing XP with SP3 on my personal machine. I've integrated the SP3 into setup cd with automatic install because it saves much time. after first start I installed the IE7 and MP11 to make sure they don't annoy me with the "Update available"-messages and got latest updates from MS-Update. Next point on the list is a virus-scanner, I use Bitdefender 10 free version, but when trying to install the start of vsserv.exe fails with message "GetProcessImageFileNameW not found in psapi.dll". I searched the internet but I didn't found any valid solve of the problem since this message appears also in some other applications. I also tried to replace the psapi.dll with earlier versions, with v4 the IE7 is inoperable, the one from sp2 IE7 runs, but with both Bitdefender gets the same error. According to other solves I searched for other psapi.dll on my system (also during BD-Installation), but there is only the one in the system32-folder. KB932540 tells me the dll may be not registered, but when trying to register it got worse: running "regsvr32 C:\windows\system32\psapi.dll" tells me "DllRegisterServer-Entry Could not be found". I hope U can help me because I have to keep appointments and if I have no fix for that problem I need to change to Lnx for future installations. Thx in advise |
