Lisa, It appears you are downloading Drivers from MS through Windows Update. DO NOT do this. Go to Windows Update, sorry can't remember where the setting is at the moment and turn off the option for Driver Updates. Always go to the source for Drivers and only then if you are experiencing trouble with hardware. I would recommend a System Restore and choose a date just prior to when you downloaded those drivers. -- All the best, SG Is your computer system ready for Vista? https://winqual.microsoft.com/hcl/ Want to keep up with the latest news from MS? http://news.google.com/nwshp?tab=wn&ned=us&topic=t Just type in Microsoft "Lisa" <Lisa @discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:CA1F7877-070D-4A8D-B465-53B7D0394A4A@microsoft.com... > there was a recent update that popped up, it took out my speakers..... > also > my screen is turni g blue with white lines all over it, and I have to > close > by power button.
