I like the tab feature but is there any way to click on a link and
have it automatically create a tab without having to hold down the
ctrl key?

TIA

Right click, open in new tab.

If you have a center button on your mouse (even the wheel works, but easy to move while clicking),
click on the link with the center mouse button automatically opens the link in a new tab.
