I have a pc which has a wireless network enabled. There is an existing laptop
which accesses this network. I have purchased an additional laptop and it
picks up the network but I can't connect and Windows cannot identify the
error eventhough all the settings are correct.

I am not sure what to do.

What security are you using on the wireless network? You need to use the
same on the new laptop (e.g. you probably need to add your WEP or WPA
keys). If the wireless network only allows access to known MAC addresses
then you will need to add the new laptop's MAC address to the list.
