Have one PC with Office Communicator 2005 (version 1.0.559). Have one PC with Windows Live Messenger 2008 (build 8.5.1302.1018). Both PCs have functioning webcams. Try to initiate a webcam session between the two PCs. The Communicator PC says: "Cannot start the selected conversation type with this person. Send an instant message instead." The Live Messenger PC says: "Your invitation to share your webcam could not be sent because < Name > is using a version of Messenger that does not support this feature." Both Communicator and Messenger have menu options to select webcams. Any ideas on why this won't work? Thanks. |
