Hey guys can i get some help. I am trying to install windows xp pro 64 bit on my computer. I cant seem to get the cd rom to read the cd on boot. i adjusted the boot sequence with cd rom boot first. i have zeroed out my 300gb sata hard drive. i run windows xp 32 fine and I dont want a dual boot. My simple specs are as follows. Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe Wireless Edition Motherboard 2x OCZ SLI-Ready Edition Dual Channel 4096MB PC6400 DDR2 800MHz Memory Famous Brand 700-Watt Power Supply 2x Geforce 7600 gs video card (sli) 2x Sony DVD writer AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+ Windsor 3.2GHz 2 x 1MB L2 Cache Socket AM2 I am not understanding why I cant install this OS. Some help would be nice. Thanks. |

No, pro 64 cannot be installed from a dos shell, at least not the standard dos. I suppose you could if you were to find a 64-bit dos so the cpu would be in the correct state to install pro 64. mjhackworth wrote: > Im curious..... is it possible to install pro 64 from a dos shell?
