my d drive has only 10% free space. there doesn't seem to be anything in it. Sometimes, it states the space is almost full & it says to delete files, but there is never much , if anything at all in it. What is this all about? Thanks for any help! |

Hi, There are a few possible reasons: 1. There are hidden volume shadow copies on there 2. There's a big recycle bin on there 3. The NTFS master table is corrupt You could first try opening a command prompt, then type dir d:\*.* /a /s This will list every file on the D drive. At the end of list you'll see a report of how many files, folders and bytes are being used.
