First time tablet user here, long time PC user, and Vista user since beta. Anyway I just bought an HP 2710p Tablet, Vista Ultimate, all patches, not SP1. Love it!! Except for one issue. I use it in tablet mode (protrait), keyboard tucked away. It goes into standby either by timeout or I tap start, and the sleep button. No problem. When I wake it up (still in tablet portrait mode) the screen orients (rotates) into landscape mode, uses half the screen and will not put up a keybord or let me "write" in my password. I have to unfold it into the laptop style, and use the keyboard to enter my password. Then while it is setting there in laptop mode, it rotates the screen back to portrait. Now I can fold it all back into tablet mode and everything works fine. No functionality loss just very iritating. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance |
