Hi,
I have the problem that Process Monitor uses up all my system resources when
i start it. I cannot stop it again but it seems to freeze my system. Maybe
it's because
of my security software? I don't know.
System Specs
Windows XP Home (danish) SP 2
Software
Kaspersky AV 7.0
Adaware 2007
Webroot SpySweeper 5
Super AntiSpyware 3.9.1008

Regards,
Rasmus Bertelsen

SpySweeper uses a lot of CPU. I don't use it real time - only to scan once
a week, and that's a drag. SuperAntispyware is a big CPU user when
scanning, too. It's OK real time.

I have Spy Sweeper starting at bootup and running in the background all the
time and it has no noticeable impact on CPU usage.

I just started Process Monitor 1.20 and after it settled down CPU usage was
between 1% and 2% - no noticeable impact on the system.
Running XP Pro w/SP2.

The fact they are, apparently, not 'using' cpu does not mean they are not
sitting in memory; waiting to do their thing. Just go to Administrative
Tools and open Processes or Services to see what's running, basically, all
the time.
