Has anyone been able to successfully download and use the DVD ISO image of the September 2006 SDK? I am starting at the Microsoft® Windows® Software Development Kit (ISO) for September CTP of Windows Vista and .NET Framework 3.0 Runtime Components using the link as: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=28FAD42D-983E-4A57-B5A6-BF058766A9FF&displaylang=en The DVD ISO image link was listed as: http://download.microsoft.com/download/3/0/8/308525e4-3193-4308-9a65-90c57e97495f/6.0.5536.0.2.WindowsSDK_Vista_RC1.DVD.Rel.img which is actually the same link that I used to look at the Microsoft Windows SDK for RC1. The file version and file size are the same as those specified for the RC1 release. I could not check the AutoCRC signature because the CRC link simply downloads a compressed WinZip executable that expands into a tool used to check the CRC of floppy drive images only! I cannot the mount the ISO image file virtually as a CD-ROM device using the Virtual CD-ROM Control Panel for Windows XP tool because it simply says "Mount Failed". Some postings had indicated that the SDK would be released by 9/28, over a week ago. Any update or verification of the release status for the SDK would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Rip |
